Old is new again
We received a KitchenAid mixer as a wedding present from Chris’ parents almost twenty years ago. As an avid baker, I use the mixer frequently – several times a week, usually. Countless batches of cookies, cakes, breads, candy, whipped cream, … Continue reading

Here’s a picture of the Christmas stocking I’m working on, which I’m knitting inside out to help with the tension issues I generally have with fair isle projects. As you can see, I’ve passed the heel and am chugging away … Continue reading

To the Needle, and beyond!
Working in the shadow of the Space Needle like I do, I visit the icon surprisingly few times each year. Saturday I trekked up there, however, to attend the etsyRAIN bazaar – a fabulous collection of etsy.com vendors that were … Continue reading

In a mood
Today I have my cranky pants on, and I’m not really sure why. Well, I know a little bit why but it’s not enough to make me feel as grumpy as I do. I suppose everyone has these days, right? … Continue reading

The tile goes on
Sunday was spent putting up the rest of the kitchen tile. It went about as expected, considering the 70 year-old house — which is to say there was plenty of swearing and sweating and awkward angles, trying to tile walls … Continue reading
