You spin me right round

I’m seeing some improvement in my spinning – my twist is more even and I am able to keep a fairly consistent thickness. Keeping the twist under control is my ongoing challenge: since I usually spin while watching a movie, I tend to speed up and slow down depending on what’s going on in the movie. Gotta work on that.

Anyway, here’s a skein I just finished. It’s a two-ply, handpainted wool and I got about 147 yards out of it. I plan on making a baby hat from this! I haven’t checked the gauge yet, but it looks to be about a sport weight yarn.

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
