Follow along, if you dare

Cast on 363 stitches with a crocheted cast on, using gorgeous tosh merino light yarn in a heart-stoppingly beautiful color like Nebula. Count the stitches. Re-count them while helpful husband tickles feet and offers alternative numbers. Count again, remove extra stitch at end of row. Begin charted lace pattern. At end of row 3, see that you have one stitch too many. Swear a little, then decrease it out. Complete row 4 (plain knit), then row 5, where you realize things are not lining up. Spend ten minutes tracking down the error, see it about thirty stitches into the FIRST ROW. Swear a whole bunch, rip back some 1800 stitches. Cast on 363 stitches. Count them. Try to remember that you enjoy knitting. Wonder if 9 am is too early for a beer.

Don’t you just looooove Tosh Merino Light? I used that yarn for that shawl KAL we did last year – it’s sooo soft and has a very nice drape to your projects.

It must have been in the weather. BUT I know you over came and so did I. Froggers united!
