Magic in a can

For anyone who doubts the interest that kittens have in eating quilt batting while you are trying to baste a quilt together, I offer this photo:


Last night I picked out my lame attempt at hand-quilting, and this morning I laid the quilt out on the table to re-baste it. Only this time, I used a can of magic that I can’t believe I hadn’t tried before.


Spray basting is sheer genius. No pins, no basting threads, no shifting. All three layers are now lightly adhered together and I’m about to bring my sewing machine in to do some quilting.
