It’s a rarity that I knit the same thing twice. I bet there are only about a dozen patterns in my entire knitting experience where I’ve made more than one of a particular pattern. There have been a few hats that I made in different colorways (the Turn A Square comes to mind), but generally the aspect I love best about knitting is trying new things.
But these Waterlily leg warmers are fantastic. I liked the grey pair so well that I decided to cast on a green set. This is a regular worsted weight wool, so I stuck to the pattern (the chunk grey ones required fewer stitches, so I tinkered with the ribbing). This pattern is great for commuter knitting because the cables are easy. I’m doing them one at a time because my circular needle isn’t very long, but it’s a snap to make them match. The yarn was frogged from a failed sweater project, so it’s a bit ramen-like; these will definitely need a blocking to even things out.
