Hiding from myself

I have two more handknit projects to complete before Christmas. Both are more than halfway done; one of them should be finished tomorrow, leaving the entire weekend available for me to finish the second one.

Except that the second one has been temporarily misplaced.

It’s a gift for someone in my immediate family, and so I’ve been knitting it in as secret a way as I can to preserve the element of surprise. When I’m not working on it, I have to stash the bag somewhere and in such a way that it does not draw attention.

Unfortunately, it appears that I hid it too well the other day, because this morning I could not locate it. I can’t ask for help because if someone other than me finds the bag, it could ruin the surprise. Perhaps I should be making a plea to St. Anthony (the patron saint of lost things)…

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
