Caving

Yeah – I put a hold on that chair. Last night we discussed whether to get rid of an ugly chair or ugly love seat first, and we decided a love seat would go. We have two love seats, a chair, and a rocking chair in the living room – as well as a small computer desk & chair – which is too much furniture for the small room. We used to have an ottoman, too, but that went to the Goodwill last weekend. We could barely get through the room! Just getting rid of the ottoman made a big difference, and I’m really looking forward to gaining a couple more square feet when a love seat makes an exit.

The new chair will sit in a corner that has a yellow curtain behind it, and French artwork on the wall, one of which has yellow sunflowers. I’m not much of a decorator, but I thought a throw pillow to tie the yellow with the teal chair would be a nice touch. I couldn’t bring myself to pay $25-$30 for a throw pillow (give me a break, I’m still coming to terms with the cost of the chair), but I did find cloth napkins (less than $6 for two, on sale) that would make a charming pillow cover – and I think I already have a pillow form in my sewing room.

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
