Weekend warriors

We incorporated our weekend training walks with errands we had to run, so we got to walk on two new routes – Saturday was six miles along the Cedar River, and Sunday was five miles along Lake Washington. Both were trails I had been on a little bit in the past, but not for many miles. The Cedar River trail is quite nice – some of it is part of a “rails to trails” thing, and you get to walk across what used to be train bridges, like this one:

It was also running really high and we saw a couple of flow meters moored in the river. I liked the warning sign on it.

I didn’t take any pictures along the lake; the weather was not that great and we just wanted to get done and go to the grocery store.
We also finished remodeling the Girl’s new room and started moving her furniture in. Her cat was pretty confused over the whole event, but I think she’ll figure it out pretty quickly.

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
