The porch is now more than half sided; we were able to get all but a small section on the bottom wall done this weekend. The peak is next.

I whacked my thumb pretty good (three times), but the siding is going up faster than we expected, even without a pneumatic nail gun.

For human protection from the weather, I’ve got a new hat on the needles (surprise!) – this is “Botanic“, and it’s knit inside out. Well, inside out if you want the slipped stitches on the outside (which I do). The pattern says it’s reversible, but the other side is just skinny stripes and not as striking as the slip-stitch side.

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
