In amongst a birthday breakfast, a run, helping the Mr. install a new fan in the bathroom, making dinner, and book club — I pieced a quilt top. Well, not the entire top; it needs borders still, but the center panel is done. I started with two jelly rolls, and pieced the strips together.
Then I had to cut the corners off to make one long continuous strip.
And then you bring the two ends together and sew. And again, and again, not doing anything to line up colors and just letting the strips fall where they will — until you get something like this:
At first I was not thrilled with how the colors were lining up, but you know what? It’s growing on me. Now I have to decide how to edge it.
