So very much

It’s been a busy few days, what with all the vacationing and stuff. We’ve seen so much, and we’re all getting tired and longing for our own beds, but we are getting to see and do a lot of things so it’s worth it.

Giant Pacific Octopus

We’ve been to an aquarium and a couple of museums.

Hippo skull

We’ve wandered around Fisherman’s Wharf, China Town, the Castro district, and Haight-Ashbury. We’ve eaten at an In-N-Out, swam in an outdoor pool, and had our picture taken on the Golden Gate Bridge.

China Town

We’ve had tea in a little shop, bought trinkets and souvenirs (and chocolate, and sourdough).

Me and the Girl at Ghiradelli

We’ve had many exciting adventures driving in San Francisco (including dodging a ladder in the road), ridden cable cars, and enjoyed the peace inside a church.

Cable Car!

We watched groups of old women and old men (separate groups) playing card games in a park.

Playing for money, they had bags of low-denomination coins at their feet.

And I bought a new sun hat, for working in the yard. 🙂 I was surprised at how cool my head stayed; without a brim hugging my head, there was plenty of ventilation and I didn’t end up with hat-hair.

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
