With the Christmas knitting pressure off, I didn’t waste any time in casting on a new project – socks! I know, such a shocker…
This time in a self-striping sock yarn (Patons Kroy), in plain stockinette. It’s crazy-busy for me at work right now (year-end; if you are a financial sort you’ll know exactly what this entails), so I need projects that require practically no thought during my commute. Stockinette socks it is, but at least the striping yarn makes them seem less plain.
I have a bunch of finished projects to show off, but I may wait until after the gifting so I don’t ruin any surprises.
P.S. Proofreading my post, my eyes zoomed in on “thought” and it looks wrong. Must be a sign that my brain is fried.
P.P.S. I know the socks look wonky in the picture, but I assure you they are the same size. The one on the left is just curling funny on the cable.
P.P.S.S. At least, I think they are the same size. I’m pretty sure I triple-counted the stitches. But that requires THOUGHT, which I’ve already established is not my strong suit right now.
Self-striping socks are always a good thing 🙂 Hope work calms down for you soon!
