Chaining forever
There’s just 1.5 rows left on the Ondine shawl, but it’s sloooooow. So many chain-6’s. The last row is a picot edge, and that’s not going to go very fast, either. But, only 1.5 rows to go!
Socks & baseball
Tuesday night was a Stitch ‘n Pitch and the Ondine shawl is too large for stadium knitting, so I cast on a pair of simple socks. As it was, I had a difficult time keeping track of the toe increases … Continue reading
Dc, ch1
423 times. Hopefully, anyway; I haven’t actually counted to make sure my stitch count matches the pattern, but it feels like 423 stitches. I’m getting a ruffled edge and I don’t know how much it will block out – but … Continue reading

In a moment of weakness
Today I went to an Excel webinar over my lunch hour, and on my way back I felt the siren call of my LYS, which was in my path back to the office. Ah, So Much Yarn — I have … Continue reading
More Ondine
The Ondine shawl is chugging right along – I’m almost done with the stripes. I’ve no idea how many stitches are on the needles, but it goes up every row.
Big and small
Those big socks are done and ready for the gift pile. Knit in Trekking XXL. And I started a wee baby hat with some stash yarn, to donate to World Vision at next week’s Stitch n Pitch. I’ll probably make … Continue reading

A step up
We have stairs! The Mr finished them today, and they are beautiful. We aren’t sure yet what we will do about a railing, but it sure is nice having sturdy, permanent stairs to the porch.
