Scraps for scraps

I flubbed on a batch of soap and cut the bars to the wrong size. When I re-cut them to the proper size, I ended up with a bunch of really thin slices that I dampened and stuck together. Still very usable, but not very pretty… Today I crocheted them little sweaters out of wool scraps, which ought to felt somewhat as the soaps are used and will hold the slivers together. Waste not, want not!

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.

Yay for making a mistake into a positive!!! Does it help make the soap last longer?
