Spinning blue

I don’t spin as often I’d like – it involves hauling the wheel out from behind a bookshelf and setting up in the living room, then putting everything back when I’m done for the day, to keep the cat from eating the fiber. So much easier to just grab a knitting bag and plop in a chair. But I enjoy spinning, and this evening I brought the wheel out to work a bit.

This is about 2 oz of merino / tencel, in a brilliant blue; there’s another 2 oz to spin up, and then I’ll ply. It’s got just a bit of sheen and lots of drape, and it ought to be good for a small shawl.

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
