Adaptation

There have been some changes in our house, which necessitated the packing and storing of my craft room. I did, of course, make sure to keep a number of projects accessible (I’m not totally crazy), which has encouraged me to work on WIPs in lieu of going on what would ordinarily be a Start All The Things response to the winter weather settling in. There’s just something about cold, rainy days that makes me want to cast on dozens of hats and mitts…

Anyway – I started a sock a couple months ago on a hiking trip, and then it got set aside as life got hectic. I kept the bag out, though, and grabbed it this morning for my commute. I just started the top ribbing of the first sock, and though it bucks my preference for doing two at a time, it is rather satisfying how quickly a single sock moves along.

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure. This blog is mine; it is a place where I can insist upon proper grammar or break my own rules and degrade into slang on a whim. Either way, it's still mine. I love the Internet.
