Sewing day

It’s been ages since I had my sewing machines out, and today I had a chance to sit down and give them some attention. But first, I put my trusty seam ripper to work, removing a worn out binding from a quilt I made for my eldest, many years ago.

The new fabric is in the washer, getting preshrunk. Then, I gave my serger a thorough cleaning and made myself a dress! It’s a little big – though I chose the size that matches my measurements – and I’m hoping it shrinks a little in the wash. I like the pattern, and would definitely make another one.
