Taking pause

Tour de Fleece was a fun experiment in seeing how much I could spin if given the parameters within which to do so. I managed to spin at least a little on all but a couple days of the Tour; ending up with a fair amount (for me) of spun fiber. I finished up 20 ounces from the fiber stash, which I felt was a significant dent considering all of the other demands on my time. And I learned how to chain ply.

Of course, life didn’t stop while I set aside time to spin, so there were plenty of other things going on over the last month – visits with the grandlittle, soap making, napping bees in the lavender, a bit of crochet, garden harvests, a new / old sewing machine, foraging of wild blackberries, a small house project, and casting on a new pair of socks. Best of all, yesterday brought a visit from our youngest, who now lives very far away, and seeing all three of our grown-up kids together warmed my heart.

Anyway, here are some pics from the last month:

About wonkydonkey

You want random? You got it. Mostly knitting and gardening, with some home improvements, pets, baking, family, and the occasional bad joke thrown in for good measure.
