Fetching & Milo
Pics of a couple of finished items today. Milo vest, in 9- month size. Knit in Madeline tosh dk superwash. And both pairs of Fetching mitts. Knit in Cascade Lana D’Oro (wool/alpaca), got both pairs from one skein. Otherwise identical, … Continue reading
Oh so Fetching
I finished off a pair of Fetching finger-less mitts. These are knit in Cascade Alpaca Lana D’Oro, which is a lovely wool/alpaca blend that knits up with a little bit of halo. While this does obscure the cables somewhat, it’s … Continue reading
Block-o-rama
The stack of projects in the Finishing Pile was getting a tad tall, so I spent a little time weaving in ends and blocking a bunch of stuff. I think I showed progress pics of most of these, but here’s … Continue reading

Now with more blue

Back at it
Knitting! Hurrah! My finger feels pretty good and I’m able to knit with abandon once more. I’m using up some excess handspun, working up a pair of fingerless mitts.
The hooks are out!
I was ready for a change of pace, so I grabbed a crochet hook and started a wavy hat. Using up worsted wool scraps AND adding to my Xmas gift tote. Win-win. This is how much I got done on … Continue reading

Stripes – sometimes they work
It pleases me to no end that I am capable of spinning yarn that is knitable. I really enjoy spinning, but I’m not a technical fanatic so my results vary. Sometimes they vary widely, and in no way can I … Continue reading

Lakeside finish
This weekend was mostly spent lakeside, enjoying good food with friends — and a pile of projects that needed ends woven in. So while I worked on all those ends, I got to enjoy this view: We all tromped out … Continue reading
